Precision Approach® Presents Terrain Park Research at International Snowsports Congress in South Korea

Precision Approach® Founder and CEO Chris Pedrotti presented the company’s terrain park research findings at the 2026 International Society for Snowsports Safety (ISSS) Congress in PyeongChang, South Korea.

The international gathering brought together researchers, engineers, medical professionals, and snow sports industry representatives to exchange research and explore developments in mountain recreation.

Pedrotti’s presentation, titled Landing Location Variation Due to Pop Speed Variation, quantified pop and examined how variations in both pop and a rider’s takeoff velocity influence landing location in terrain park jumps.

The findings contribute to the technical foundation of Air Intelligence®, which uses LiDAR-based sensing and provides real-time information to support more informed rider decisions.

Additionally, this international conference also provided opportunities to connect with researchers and industry professionals, opening conversations about potential future research collaboration.

Precision Approach® continues to explore opportunities to contribute to research and technology development within the international snowsports community.
